Tauranga South tactical crime unit head Detective Sergeant Matt Smith said between 20 and 23 July the group were linked to a burglary on Grey Street and an aggravated robbery on Eleventh Avenue - both in Tauranga, and a ram-raid at Papamoa Plaza.

The man was charged with aggravated robbery, receiving stolen goods and possession of cannabis for supply, and was scheduled to appear in Tauranga District Court on Friday.

Smith said two of the youths had also been connected to two more burglaries, that happened on Tuesday 26 July.

"These arrests should make anyone out there that thinks they can get away with this type of offending ... think again," he said.

"Your behaviour is not anonymous, and your actions cause real harm to people in the community, and it will not be tolerated."
