Police were called to the Liquorland Boutique on Jervois Road, in Herne Bay, at about 3.15am.

A car was used to gain access to the store by smashing the front doors.

An investigation is underway but no arrests have been made.

Earlier this month a power tool business in Mount Albert suffered more than $40,000 worth of damage due to a ram raid and last month an Auckland bottle store and a Vodafone store in Takanini were targeted in ram raids.
