The body of a tramper who died hiking the Mildford Sound has been recovered by police.
He was found by the Giant Gate Falls yesterday, two days after he was reported missing.
He failed to return from a day hike to Devil's Armchair, near the northern end of the Milford Track.
The body was recovered about 6pm this evening today,
A rāhui is in place around the area until 17 April.
