The Ministry of Health updated its website late Thursday afternoon with the locations at Rydges Pipitea Wellington (75 Featherston Street, Pipitea) and Atrium Towers Apartment Wellington Central (154 The Terrace).

People who were at the Atrium Towers on 23 December between 8.13am and 8.20am or the Rydges Hotel on 23 December between 8.25am and 9.45am are asked to monitor for symptoms for 10 days after the date of exposure.

If symptoms develop, people need to get a test and stay at home until they get a negative test result.

The last time a case was reported in the Wellington region was on 22 December, in the Hutt Valley area.
