Police in Palmerston North are searching for a vehicle at the centre of an armed car-jacking in Feilding this morning.

Detective Senior Sergeant Craig Sheridan said in a statement that a firearm was pointed at police and a motorist, before the motorist's car was taken.
He said the motorist is very shaken and is being offered support.
Police are looking for a silver-coloured Holden Commodore sedan with the registration number DTE-593.
Anyone with information is being told not to approach the vehicle but to contact police.
It's the second recent firearms incident in Manawatū, several schools were forced in to lockdown in Palmerston North on Friday after reports of gunshots.
Two people were subsequently arrested in relation to the Palmerston North incident.
