In a statement, the ministry said the number of active cases remains at 23 and the total number of confirmed cases remains at 2257.

Last night, the ministry warned travellers arriving into New Zealand from Brisbane to monitor their health after a green zone breach at Brisbane Airport.

Two people from red-zone countries had gone to Hudson Cafe at the same time as green zone passengers, but the red-zone passengers had been wearing masks, maintained distancing measures and were not symptomatic. The ministry said the risk to New Zealand was low.

The Ministry said today it was in contact with Queensland Health officials today, "and will be able to provide updated information as soon as we can".

The ministry also reported three new cases in MIQ yesterday.

It said today the vaccination surge workforce - which now totals more than 2600 people - have now administered more than a quater million doses.

"Of those doses, almost 69,000 people have been fully vaccinated."
