Both the community cases are workers at a managed isolation facility at Sudima Hotel.

Covid-19 testing is available at general practices, urgent care facilities, and three community-based centres.

Canterbury District Health Board community based testing clinical leader Hannah Gordon said anyone who is concerned about the recent positive cases or who thinks they might have been a close contact could attend the centres.

"No appointment is necessary and testing is free for everyone. You do not need a referral to attend a testing centre and you can drive-up or walk-in," she said.

The Orchard Road community testing centre, near Christchurch Airport, and Whānau Ora Community Clinic in Wainoni are open from 9am to 4pm, 7 days a week.

Ashburton Hospital community testing centre is open from 10am to 2pm, on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
