Two cars - one of them stolen - had apparently been deliberately driven into the sea in Napier this morning.

The Police National Dive Squad recovered the stolen vehicle this evening after it plunged into the water on Meeanee Quay just after 5am.
But after a search of the inner harbour, a second car was found.
Police believe this car was driven into the water at the same time as the first car.
They say they are satisfied that nobody was in either car after they became submerged.
Work to retrieve the second car will take place tomorrow.
