Tongariro bones discovery case: Two of accused named in court

Two of the men accused of being involved in the death of Ricky Wang and burying his body in a shallow grave in the Central Plateau can now be named.

Bao Chang Wang - known as Ricky - went missing in 2017 and his body was found buried near Tongariro in March.

Name suppression lapsed this morning for 28-year-old Gu Zhicheng - who along with another man is accused of murdering Wang in August 2017.

He has pleaded not guilty.

Yu Gaoxiang can also be named as one the men charged with being an accessory after the fact.

Interim suppression orders remain in place for the second murder-accused and another man charged with being an accessory after the fact.
