Three people were seriously injured in a crash following a police pursuit in South Auckland late last night.

Police attempted to stop a suspicious vehicle on Gainsborough St in Manurewa just after 11pm last night.
Inspector Daniel Meade said the vehicle fled before a pursuit could be initiated.
"Police lost sight of the vehicle and continued in the direction they had seen it travelling in."
The fleeing vehicle lost control going around a corner and hit another police vehicle responding to the incident at the intersection of John Walker Dr and Weymouth Rd in Manurewa.
A dog handler suffered a badly broken leg, and the two people in the fleeing car are reported to be in a critical condition.
The Independent Police Conduct Authority will be notified.
