The search for a hunter, who was reported missing earlier in the week, has resumed on Stewart Island / Rakiura this morning.

Police were alerted after the hunter failed to return on Monday afternoon.
The 39-year-old man was a part of a group of 13 people hunting on the island, but failed to return back to the group.
Searchers camped overnight in the area.
Police said the lockdown had not affected the search efforts.
