A fire at a car wrecker's yard, in Wikaraka St in Ngongotaha, near Rotorua is now under control, but still burning.

The blaze strectches 100 metres by 60 metres, and at its peak had more than 20 crews and two aerial appliances battling the fire in Ngongotaha ten minutes north of Rotorua.
It was reported about 7.10pm last night, involving dozens of old vehicles.
Fire and Emergency said three crews had been at the site overnight, and more would arrive this morning with fire investigators.
No one from the area was evacuated and crews will work to extinguish the fire today.
Footage of the fire shows a large, dark plume of smoke coming from the car wrecking yard. A resident said it smelt "toxic".
