A cyclist is in hospital after being hit by a police car in Auckland.

Police are at the scene where the car and bike collided on Atkinson Avenue, Otahuhu, this morning.
The cyclist has moderate to minor injuries and was being checked at Middlemore Hospital.
The officers were not injured.
The road was closed between King Street and Avenue Road. The police serious crash unit was at the scene and will investigate the collision.
