A woman has died after a vehicle rolled over the tent where she was sleeping.
Police said initial inquiries show the handbrake has failed and the vehicle has rolled down a hill onto the tent.
The incident happened today sometime between 2am and 7.30am on Virtue Crescent, Karikari Peninsula, in the Far North.
Police said they were still investigating the circumstances of the death.
