The driver of a car that struck an e-scooter rider in central Auckland last night has been found, and is talking with police.
The scooter rider remains in a critical condition in hospital after he was struck when he fell off the e-scooter on Symonds St overnight.
Emergency services were called to the accident about 11.20pm on Saturday.
Police said one driver had been able to avoid the fallen scooter rider, but the second car following had collided with him, but then left the scene.
Police are still investigating and would like to speak to any witnesses.
