A south Auckland neighbourhood is on high alert after a man was shot last night.
Emergency services were called to a property on Naylors Drive in Mangere shortly before 4am this morning.
The victim is in a critical condition in Middlemore Hospital.
The windscreen of a car is smashed at the property and what appears to be blood is still drying in the road.
