Three people have spent the night in a Far North bush after search and rescue teams failed to find them.
The trio went into the bush in the Omanaia area yesterday afternoon for a walk.
Search and Rescue began looking for them at midnight but were stood down at 5am and had not located them.
They will resume the search this morning.
Weather conditions are poor in the area.
