The 44-year-old Christchurch businessman was jailed for 21 months in June in the Christchurch District Court for distributing the live-streamed video of the 15 March mosque attacks.

Arps' lawyer Anselm Williams confirmed to RNZ this afternoon the appeal was dismissed.

It comes after the Crown accused him of sending letters of a violent nature from his prison which lead to the appeal decision being delayed last week, until now.
