Police have found one of three Levin men who escaped from a courthouse garage on Wednesday.
Wiremu Eparaima, 30, was arrested this afternoon at Otaki after a member of the public reported a man driving dangerously on State Highway 1, they said.
The hunt is continuing for Te Wera Hemara, 27, and Emmanuel Witana, 23.
The trio escaped when one of them pressed a lever opening the garage door while a fourth man held back an officer.
Police have admitted they did not follow their own rules on how many staff should have been there.
