Mr Tulua, 39, died of gunshots at his home on Darnell Crescent, Clover Park, on 20 April.

Police this morning said they had arrested and charged a 22-year-old South Auckland man with murder, and he was due to appear in the Manukau District Court today.

Acting Detective Senior Sergeant Kepal Richards praised the hard work of the investigation team who he said had worked tirelessly to get answers for Mr Tulua's family.

"I would also like to thank those members of the public who have come forward and provided information following our numerous public appeals, including on Police Ten 7."

Mr Richards urged anyone else with information to contact Counties Manukau Police on (09) 261 1321 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

He said police would not be commenting further as the case was before the court.
