One person is dead following a crash near Huntly while another died in a Bay of Plenty crash overnight.
The first person was hit by a car in Rangiriri West, north of Huntly, just after midnight.
The second was also hit by a car, in Ōpotiki around 2.30am.
The Serious Crash Unit attended both incidents.
