Nearly 1400 homes and businesses were without power in parts of Wellington after an outage this evening.

Wellington Electricity said 1360 customers lost power in Churton Park, Johnsonville and Stokes Valley, about 8.30pm.
It said 38 customers were also without power in Pinehaven in Upper Hutt.
Power has now been restored to those affected.
