A woman is in Waikato Hospital with critical injuries after a hit-and-run in Taupō last night.
The 36-year-old was hit on Richmond Avenue at 11.15pm.
The vehicle involved - a white, lowered ute with tinted windows - left the scene.
The police would like to speak to the driver, their passengers or anyone with relevant information.
The vehicle will have damage to the front.
