Police are investigating a reported kidnapping of a young woman in Christchurch.
A woman in her mid-20s with blond hair was seen running down Colombo Street towards Moorhouse Avenue at about 10pm on Friday.
Detective Sergeant Leairne Dow says a witness reported seeing a 4WD vehicle pull up beside her. Two men got out and forced her into the vehicle.
However, no missing person has been reported who fits her description.
Detective Sergeant Dow wants to hear from anyone who can confirm these events or from the people involved that it was a prank.
