Jermaine Arias Ramos was the man who died under suspicious circumstances in Hastings on Monday night, police say.

The 33-year-old Philippines national living in Waipukurau was found dead in the suburb of Akina on Monday night.
Police named him tonight and said they were continuing to investigate his death.
Meanwhile, a 36-year-old woman appeared in Hastings District Court charged with assault with intent to rob.
She was remanded in custody until 30 April.
