A man will appear in court in Rotorua today in relation to the death of a 69-year-old man.
Trevor Rikihana died just over a week ago.
Police arrested a 56-year-old man in Napier last night.
He will appear in court charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
Police said it was likely more serious charges would be laid later.
