Three armed men fired a shot into the ceiling and assaulted two people while robbing a Christchurch bar.

Police said the men entered Coaster's Tavern on Daniels Rd in Redwood on Tuesday wearing black hoodies and scarves over their faces.
They were armed with a screwdriver, machete and firearm.
They threatened bar staff and patrons as they demanded money.
Police said a 19-year-old woman and 67-year-old man were assaulted and received minor injuries during the robbery.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the police.
