A man has been arrested after a lockdown at Hutt Hospital on Tuesday night.

Police say the hospital was put in lockdown while they investigated reports of an assault and threat towards a patient.
A 35-year-old Upper Hutt man will appear in court today.
It's the second incident at Hutt Hospital in two weeks after a prisoner escaped while attending an appointment there late last month.
He has since been caught.
