A homicide investigation was launched after Wayne Noda, 48, was found dead in his home on 30 June.

Police found the blue Nissan Skyline they had been looking for in the Hamilton area over the weekend as a result of an appeal to the public for information.

A forensic examination of the car is under way.

Police said they still want to speak to anyone who may have seen the car around Huntly between 30 June and 21 July.
