A man has been taken by helicopter to Dunedin Hospital following a forestry accident at Hampden in North Otago.

St John was notified at 12.30 this afternoon.
A spokesperson confirmed the 65-year-old man had moderate injuries but could not say how he was injured or what his injuries are.
A helicopter and ambulance crew was sent to the scene, on Duncan Road.
