A glitch at the entrance to Auckland's Laneway music festival kept hundreds of people waiting for about an hour in baking heat.
Several people had to be treated by ambulance staff.
RNZ videographer Claire Eastham-Farrelly said a girl passed out while waiting, and another could be heard calling out for water.
A spokesperson said there was a brief issue regarding scanning tickets on phones but it was dealt with in about 20 minutes.
The gates are clear now! Huge apologies for the delay. Thank you so much for your patience with us today!!
