Police have abandoned the search of a sunken fishing boat off the South Island's West Coast in an effort to locate a missing fisherman.
The Wendy J sank in Jackson Bay on the West Coast on 14 September.
One man managed to get ashore alive, but the body of another man, Jay Cairney, was found later, and his crew mate Kieran Lynch is still missing.
A police spokesperson said divers were able to search the boat and surrounding waters yesterday, without success.
The search has now been suspended.
