A teenager has appeared in court accused of the murder of a Christchurch woman on Saturday night.
The 19-year-old trainer, who was granted interim name suppression, is charged with the murder of Alicia Nathan, also known as Alicia Robinson.
The 32-year-old mother-of-one died at an Avonhead property on Saturday night.
The woman was remanded in custody, and will appear again in court later this month.
The public were excluded from Christchurch District Court during the appearance, and there was a heavy police presence throughout the building.
