A Dunedin school investigated by police over abuse claims last year will remain under outside management.

The Education Ministry installed a limited statutory manager at the Sara Cohen special needs school a year ago.
It has just reviewed that and is keeping the manager in place, as well as bringing in an adviser on governance.
No one was charged over the claims from some parents and staff that some other staff hit children.
One staff member quit while another was suspended, and that employment case is still going on.
Meantime, the principal is retiring.
