Divers are continuing to scour Lake Rotoiti, near Rotorua, for a 48-year-old man whose life jacket came off after he jumped from his boat and failed to resurface.

Police were called to the area just after 2pm yesterday and a search and rescue operation got underway.
Eight boats were used, along with a rescue helicopter, but with no success.
Police said the dive squad took to the water again this morning at 7.30am.
