A man whose body was pulled from the Waikato River last night was Brent Christoffersen, from Masterton.

The 32-year-old was last seen alive near the Huka Falls. Onlookers then lost sight of him.
Taupo police were called shortly after 5pm. Coastguard helped police search for the man.
The police dive squad recovered his body down river from where he was last seen, police said.
His death was not suspicious and would be referred to the coroner.
