A man has been arrested after a suspicious fire at a house with a suspected clan lab on Auckland's North Shore.
Emergency services were called to Inga Road in Milford just before 6pm, after reports of smoke coming from the garage and a man in an agitated state.
Police said the man was aggressive towards staff and tried to run away but was chased and arrested.
The officers and a member of the public have had to be decontaminated by firefighters.
The police said the arrested man has been taken to North Shore Hospital to be treated for burns to his hands and arms.
The house will be under police guard overnight, with charges expected to be laid tomorrow.
