A woman's body found in Queenstown is believed to be missing Hong Kong tourist Kwei Ying Wong, who has not been seen since August.
Possum trappers found the body on Friday afternoon on Queenstown Hill close to a popular walking track.
Senior Constable Chris Blackford said police believe it is that of Kwei Ying Wong, 63, who has been missing since 22 August.
Mrs Wong, also known as Joyce, arrived in Queenstown on 18 August and was due to fly home to Hong Kong on 23 August but never boarded her flight.
Police said there are no suspicious circumstances and the death has been referred to the coroner.
