Queenstown police hold grave concerns for a tourist who has not been seen for a week.
Senior constable Wayne Park says Kwei Ying Wong, who is a Hong Kong national, was last seen at her hotel in Queenstown.
Mr Park said Mrs Wong was travelling alone in New Zealand and her plans while here were not known.
"She hasn't been seen, or heard of, for a week and she did not leave New Zealand as planned on the 26th, I think it was. She has not been in contact with any family overseas so we have concerns for her safety."
Mrs Wong is described as a young looking 63-year old, who is five foot three inches tall and weighs approximately 56 kilograms.
She speaks little English.
