A petrol station in Hastings has been robbed at knifepoint by a man wearing a bandana and carrying a knapsack.
Police said the man entered the Mobil Windsor Service Station at 9.30pm on Saturday.
He produced a knife and forced the sole employee to put money into his bag, before leaving on foot along Heretaunga Street toward the intersection of Madison and Princes Streets.
The petrol station employee was unhurt.
