Fisher in fourth place in freestyle final

New Zealand swimmer Mary Fisher set an Oceania record in her 400m freestyle final at the Paralympic Games though that still wasn't enough to win her a medal.

The Wellington swimmer was just out of the medals in her S11 400m freestyle, finishing in fourth place in a time of 5 minutes 22.09 seconds.

Though the 19-year-old set an Oceania record, she was pipped for bronze by Italy's Cecilia Camellini who finished in 5:20.27.

Germany's Daniela Schulte claimed gold with a 5:14.35 and Canada's Amber Thomas won silver in 5:15.48.

New Zealander Aine Kelly-Costello finished 10th in the same event.

Cyclist Susan Susan Reid was placed 8th in the H1-3 Women's Road Race with a time of 2 hours and 39 seconds.
