Three new cases of Covid-19 in managed isolation in New Zealand are being reported by the Ministry of Health today.

The Pakistan cricket squad also had their day six swabs processed, and so far all results had returned negative, the ministry said.
In a statement, the Health Ministry confirmed three previous cases had also recovered, so active cases remained at 72 while total confirmed cases rose to 1703.
Two of the new cases arrived on 23 November - one from Germany via Singapore and one from the United States. The third person arrived from South Africa on 26 November and tested positive in day three testing.
The ministry said the person from Germany had tested positive from day three testing, and further testing indicated theirs was a historical case, but was included in New Zealand's total because they had not been reported overseas.
The person from the US was tested on day six of their stay after a person in their bubble had tested positive.
Laboratories processed 3165 tests yesterday, the ministry said, bringing total tests to 1,278,690.
The ministry said 42 of the 48 members of the Pakistan cricket squad had returned negative test results, with three under investigation to see whether they were historical cases.
One test result was pending, the ministry said.
The ministry asked people hosting Christmas staff parties to ensure all attendees were healthy and well, and consider using video calls to include them if they were not.
Yesterday, the ministry reported four new cases of Covid-19 in managed isolation. Three were people who arrived from the United States and one positive case was a person who travelled from Ethiopia.
In another step towards making a vaccine available, US pharmaceutical company Moderna was today applying for US and European emergency authorisation for its Covid-19 vaccine.
