NZ market drops four points

The NZX50 closed down 4 points in trading on Tuesday.

The index ended the day at 3269, a drop of 0.1%.

Among some of the changes:

Fletcher Building closed up 5 cents at $7.78, Telecom was down 5 cents at $2.69, and Contact Energy gained 6 cents to end the day at $5.20.

Sky City Entertainment was down 2 cents to $3.44 and Auckland International Airport was up 1 cent at $2.225 following its announcement it had tripled its profit tripled due to a jump in the number of people flying, and higher retail and carparking income.

Fisher & Paykel Healthcare lost 7 cents to $2.29.

The Warehouse was up 2 cents at $3.40 and Freightways down 6 cents at $3.20.

A2 Corporation was down 1 cent at 20 cents despite announcing it had made its first full year profit as a result of strong growth in Australia.

Nuplex was down 4 cents to $2.49, OceanaGold up 13 cents to $2.82, Cavalier Carpets down 10 cents to $3.40, and Cavotec down 5 cents to $2.70.
