NZ firm clinches major deal

An Auckland company has secured a deal with Danone, the world's largest dairy manufacturer for a novel food container.

EverEdge IP helps companies at any stage of their development, from start-up to listed corporates.

In this case, it bought the idea and developed it into a product called CrushPak, a compressible, accordian-like cup that can be used without a spoon to eat soft foods.

Chief executive Paul Adams says it has licensed the product to overseas companies, but the Danone deal will lift its production to 500 million units by the end of the year.
