Company to sell fresh milk to US

7:44 am on 19 November 2014

A2 Milk is preparing to launch its fresh speciality milk products into the west coast region of the United States.

Chief executive Geoffrey Babidge made the announcement at the annual shareholders meeting in Auckland yesterday.

He said the product had also been rebranded and relaunched in Britain, with a deal to sell stock through Sainsbury, a major grocery chain.

It would soon be selling infant formula to China again.

Mr Babidge also said milk sales in Australia are up 38 percent in the first four months of this financial year ending in June, compared with last year.

However, shareholders should not hold their breath waiting for a dividend payout.

A2 Milk also confirmed plans to list on the Australian sharemaket early next year, but had no plans to raise capital at this stage.
