Rugby fans are flooding Wellington's bars, restaurants and hotels for tonight's second test between the All Blacks and Wales.

Hotels are booked to capacity, and bars and restaurants are expected to treble their usual Saturday night business.

Wellington branch manager of Hospitality New Zealand Jeremy Smith said the local economy would be getting a real boost.

"As a shot in the dark probably $10 to $12 million to the Wellington economy, hospitality probably accounts for half of that I would say, it's a great boost to have all the hotels full."

Mr Smith said the combination of rugby, good weather and Wellington's new night noodle market has created a "perfect storm" for the hospitality sector.
