An American church leader who was accused of sexual misconduct against several teenage boys has arrived in Auckland to speak at a Destiny Church conference this weekend.
Bishop Eddie Long, who heads the New Birth Missionary Baptist Church in the United States, was greeted with a powhiri at Auckland Airport this afternoon.
In 2010, allegations he had sexually assaulted at least four teenage boys surfaced, but the case never went to court.
He has written a book about the claims, which he has always denied.
The bishop last visited New Zealand in 2008.
