Police Canterbury are searching for an English woman who was last seen about midday today.
Officers say they're still trying to locate Elise Davenport, who only recently arrived in New Zealand, and wandered off in the Lake Coleridge area this afternoon.
They say temperatures are expected to drop below zero degrees tonight, so they are particularly worried about her.
They're asking anyone who may have seen Ms Davenport, who is tall, blonde and was wearing a black top, track pants and red shoes, to contact them.
