One of Christchurch's busiest roundabouts will be torn up next months it can be replaced with traffic lights.
The Riccarton Road roundabout at the intersection with Deans Ave will have bus priority lanes added to accommodate the 800 buses that travel along the road every day.
The council is promising to keep two lanes open on the busy road while the work is carried out.
