Indian president in NZ for first official visit

For the first time, an Indian president is visiting New Zealand.

Pranab Mukherjee flew into Auckland this morning and has been formally welcomed this afternoon at Government House.

His programme includes speaking to students at AUT's business school and meeting Indian business and community leaders.

He will also have talks with Prime Minister John Key and meet the Governor-General Sir Jerry Mateparae before leaving on Monday.
